We can note that one of the most important rivers is highly polluted, for we humans are not aware of all the hurt we are causing to the environment.

For example:

Ø  Throwing garbage.

Ø  Cutting down trees.

Ø  Wasting water.

Ø  Toxic wastes that are thrown to the rivers

CONTAMINATION

Ø  The polluted waters of the Bogota river have caused high levels of microorganism and toxic metals in some foods.

Ø  Whit respect to the vegetation, the river has a low density of water macrophytes, because of the speed of water.

Ø  Chrome, especially in the area of the mouth the river Tunjuelo.

Ø  Lead, particularly in the sections Villapinzon.

Ø  Mercury, than ten years ago found in the analysis, reports today not because of his disappearance.
